The Disney Fantasy provides guests a choice of 3 freshwater swimming pools, each with their own unique theme. A dedicated water play area for babies and young sailors allows a place for children to play in a safe environment. What’s more, the Disney Fantasy hosts a thrilling waterslide on top deck, sending your adrenalin rushing if you dare.
The AquaDuck is Disney Cruise Lines thrilling water roller coaster located on deck 12 of the Disney Fantasy. Being the first one of its kind at sea, this exhilarating ride sends guests travelling through a 765 acrylic tube, off the side of the ship and down 4 deck into a lazy river finish. Those brave enough to ride the Aqua Duck will experience breath-taking views across the ocean with bird’s eye angle of the ships below.
The ride is designed for guests 42” or taller, whilst single riders must be a least 54” and be a minimum of 14 years in age. The use of swim goggles, swim masks and snorkel tubes are strictly not prohibited at any time on this ride. Operating hours do vary so guests are advised to check their Personal Navigator or Navigator App.
Splash about at the Disney Fantasy AquaLab located on deck 12. This 1,800 square foot water play area features a number of interactive popping jets, geysers and bubblers which the whole family can enjoy. Its unique design is centred around Donald Duck and his 3 nephews biggest water experiment to date. Experience moving water wheels at 3 wacky aqua stations and exploding pipes as Uncle Donald’s row boat fills with water. There is also a waddling pool with a water fountain and shaded sun loungers within this area.
Swimming goggles and masks covering the eyes and nose are allowed in this area, however the use of snorkel tubes are strictly prohibited as well as floats, rafts and noddle floats. Personal water floats such as armbands can be worn and children accessing the area must be fully toilet trained.
Donald’s Pool is a one of the two family pools onboard the Disney Fantasy, located on deck 11. The pool is 5 foot deep with an adorable picture of Donald Duck on its pool floor. Families can dip in and out of the pool or soak up the sun on the complimentary deck chairs as they watch classic Disney animated movies and major sporting events on the 24 foot long LED screen at poolside. The space is also used for various games and activities both in and out of the pool. At night the pool’s service is covered by decking allowing guests to enjoy a number of deck parties and a spectacular fireworks display.
The use of goggles and swim masks covering the eyes and nose can be worn in Donald’s Pool. However, snorkel tubes, floats and rafts are strictly forbidden. Children entering the pool must be fully toilet trained. Personal floatation devise such as armbands are allowed, alternatively complimentary pool vests are available for hire.
Located on Deck 11 of this Disney Fantasy this is a much shallower pool predominately for kids and their parents. Only 2 foot deep, kids can swim to the bottom where a smiling picture of Mickey Mouse awaits. Nearby Mickey’s Pool is also a twisting one deck high slide providing an alternative for those struggling to reach the height restrictions of the AquaDuck. The slide takes shape as young guests twist and turn around a gigantic Mickey Mouse hand. Riders must be 38inches in height and the use of swim goggles, water masks and floats are strictly prohibited. The fun doesn’t stop there though, at Mickey’s Pool guests will be able to join in a number of games and water based activities held by Disney Crew Members throughout the day.
Nemo’s Reef provides a splash deck area for Disney Fantasy’s youngest sailors featuring popping jets, bubblers and small water fountains. Starring everybody’s favourite Disney stars from Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo, children aged 8 and younger will find Dory and Marlin figurines, a Mr Ray mini waterslide and Pearl the octopus who sprays water mist. A water curtain that moves back and forth like the East Australian current separates the zone for younger guests whilst also acting as a shield protector from the sun. The surface is laid with soft wet decking for safety regulation. Children must be toilet trained, kids who are not toilet trained are required to wear a swim diaper.
Quiet Cove Pool
This exclusive adult only pool is located on deck 11 of the Disney Fantasy. It hosts a 4 foot deep fresh water plunge pool with a 6inch deep sunbathing pool attached. Its circular design allows space for lounge chairs to surround the area. Also in the area is a hot tub and the Cove Bar which provides a mixture of cocktails and cold beverages to enjoy whilst at poolside. During the day guests will be able to enjoy light live musical performances and dim lighting to create a peaceful atmosphere. Poolside massages are available upon request, performed by therapists from the onboard Senses Spa and Salon.
In addition to Quiet Cove the Disney Fantasy brings you Satellite Falls, a quiet circular splash pool for guests aged 18 and older. Situated on deck 13, this adult exclusive area is exposed to the sun with comfortable lounge chairs and wooden benches. Discover complete serenity as you sooth yourself at poolside of this unique wellness facility.
Plunge into Funnel Puddle on deck 12 of the Disney Fantasy ship. Its soothing fountain feature and shaded lounge area is an ideal spot to relax and unwind. As the smallest of the 3 adult only pools, this pool can find itself getting pretty crowded so be quick and get your spot next to this pool first.
